Live Market Update: Sensex rallies over 100 points, Nifty At 8749

Sensex rallies over 100 points:

BSE Sensex is trading at 28,415 up 120 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 8,749 up 26 points. Asian markets are trading mixed. Shanghai Composite and Nikkei 225 are trading marginally higher while Nikkei 225 slipped 0.33%FIPB approved 11 proposals entailing foreign direct investment (FDI) inflow of over Rs 2,300 crore. Among the proposals cleared, Sharekhan Ltd would attract foreign investment of Rs 2,060 crore.

 Rupee opens 4 paise higher:

The rupee opened higher four paise at 66.46/$ against US Dollar Wednesday as against the previous close of 66.48/$.
