• Hong Kong’s Hang Seng fell 0.34 percent or 81.67 points at 23,630.90.
• Japan’s Nikkei rose 0.33 percent or 49.57 points at 15,227.06.
• Singapore’s Straits Times shed 0.39 percent or 12.06 points at 3,112.32.
• South Korea’s Seoul Composite was up 0.11 percent or 2.11 points at 1986.88.
• Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted was up 0.19 percent or 16.26 points at  8,391.80.
