• Japan’s Nikkei shed 0.51 percent or 82.50 points at 16,091.94.
• Singapore’s Straits Times added 0.40 percent or 12.60 points at 3,146.96.
• South Korea’s Seoul Composite was flat at 1,998.55.
• Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted jumped 0.25 percent or 21.03 points at 8,506.92.
