• Japan’s Nikkei fell 0.51 percent or 80.73 points at 15,778.49.
• Singapore’s Straits Times was up 0.19 percent or 5.88 points at 3,076.11.
• South Korea’s Seoul Composite rose 0.25 percent or 5.03 points at 1,980.68.
• Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted was flat at 8,412.66.
